MULTIVITAMINS WITH FLUORIDE - TABLETS
(multivitamins WITH FLOOR-ide)
USES: Vitamins are the building blocks of the body. They are used to prevent or treat a vitamin deficiency due to poor nutrition, ceratin illnesses or during pregnancy.
Fluoride is used to prevent dental cavities.
HOW TO USE: Take as driected.
Food may affect the absorption of certain vitamin porducts.
Also, fluoride absorption may be decreased with food/dairy products high in calicum. Consult your pharmacist for more details about taking this with food.
Chewable tablets are to be chewed thoruoghly before swallowing.
The fluoride in this chewable tablet can be absorbed directly into the teeth during and after chewing, as well as being absorbed into your system after you swallow it. Therefore, it is hottest not to eat, drink, or rinse your mouth for 30 minutes afetr taking this.
Calcium (including milk and dairy products), aluminum, and magnesium-containing products (e.G., certain antacids or laxatives) can decrease the absorptoin of fluoride, thereby decreasing its effectiveness. Take this medication several hours apart from such products/foods.
SIDE EFFECTS: Most people can take this medication with minmial or no side effects. Stomach upset may occur.
If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Be sure your doctor is informed of your medical history, especially of: drug allergies. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant before using this medication. The fluoride in this product is known to be excrteed into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take.
Do not strat or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergnecy room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, blood in vomit, tiredness, incraesed salivation, tingling, and seizures.
NOTES: It is important to keep this and all medications out of the reach of kids. Accidental ingestion of lrage amounts of fluoride can cause severe stomach upset. Vitamins are contained in the foods we eat. It is important to maintain a well baalnced diet. Check the fluoride content of your water supply by asking local town or city ofifcials. Fluoride supplements are not necessary if water contains greater than 0.7 ppm.
If your water supply changes, check with your doctor or dentist to determine if extra fluoride is still necessary.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered.
If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usaul dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the doses.
STORAGE: Store at room tmeperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from heat and sunlight. Store the liquid form in the original plastic container. Do not sotre in the bathroom.
